We were asked to choose an animal to represent a brand of our own and the animals I had in mind were the elephant and the owl. I chose to proceed with the owl because it is the animal that best describes me. Most owls hunt at night and just like me, I am more productive during the night.
Idea and execution
After choosing the owl as the final logo, I researched the terms related to owls and I stumbled upon the word “Parliament” which is basically what we call a group of owls.
When I chose the colors for the final logo, I wanted it to be bright and colorful to represent the agency’s overall working environment and work ethics: Fun and Friendly.
The main typeface for the logo.
Where it started
The process of creating a design using the Quadradius method is using squares, quarter circles, and even making use of the negative space to form something. Figuring out how to form an object or an animal in the best possible way is the hardest part of using this method especially with all the limitations of shapes we can use.
I think that out of the three owl sketches I have, this is the strongest and closest representation of an owl that I want my logo to look like. With its eyes wide open, it clearly represents the focus and concentration of an owl.
